Subrosan Ep1: The Challenge
Well, it’s finally here. April 19th, the release date for our first episode of Subrosan. It has been exciting, scary, fun and sometimes even down right aggravating, but WE DID IT! We set out to make a web series using Louisiana people, filmed in Louisiana. It is hard for me to even begin to explain the amount of work, sweat and time everyone put in to make this happen. This has definitely been quite an experience! This is it. Good , bad or ugly…. We accomplished what we set out to do. I hope everyone will watch and enjoy! What is the story behind the web series Subrosan?
Subrosan is an intricate secret society mystery written for adults. It is being presented as a web series with developed digital and DVD distribution.
Subrosan emerges as an easy street story and evolves into a serial mystery\/thriller. The production on Subrosan so far has been to develop the realm and gist into a vehicle for real storytelling.
This unobtrusive venture may not be eliminating world hunger, but the Subrosan narrative delivers a highly effective and valuable message to society. They delve into conspiracy theory from a fresh angle and probe the sub rosa world of the power elite from the inside out. We train our story on utopians, the illuminati, eugenicists, secret societies, etc. (Sorry, no vampires here. But we do have loads of reptilian Annunaki!)
Subrosan tracks the lead character, Ray Roche. He’s a bootleg wannabe private investigator with a smooth New Orleans style. Ray is also confronting some severe personal challenges. We pick up Ray’s story as life is starting to look good for him: a couple of paying jobs, a hot new assistant, a hot new client, and plenty of coffee …
Our log line: A down on his luck street hustling private eye teams up with an obsessed college student and a gentle but tortured priest to investigate a powerful occult underworld hidden in plain sight.

Shooting Episode One: Subrosan
The last few weeks of filming have been exciting, crazy, and just plain fun. We have a great cast of actors that are easy to work with, and enjoyable to be around. We have made great memories and stories, and not just with the camera, but behind it as well. Ghost stories, drunks, and the neighborhood watch. lol It’s definitely been a great experience!
We have filmed in locations from Lake Arthur, Baton Rouge, and New Orleans with more upcoming shoots in Lafayette and New Orleans. Louisiana is a beautiful state filled with many generous and caring people!! I’ve always heard this, but now from this experience I have found it to be true! I am still overwhelmed and humbled by the amount of people so willing to help and be involved. Our sincerest gratitude to all of the actors, crew, background, and location owners for helping us make Subrosan a reality!

Location, Location, Location!
The last few weeks we have been so busy that I rarely know what day it is. One of the many things on our TO DO LIST for Subrosan is finding locations to shoot the scenes. Scouting locations is right up my alley. Finding the right locations to bring the story to life is critical and I’m all about finding the right look and feel. It’s like a scavenger hunt and the script IS the list!!

Something New and Exciting
For those of you who know me, I usually have some kind of project I’m working on and more often than not, my husband and I are working together. We have definitely been blessed in that regard. We have worked together, and helped each other for almost 20 years now.
He came home one day and told me that some of his acting friends wanted to work together on a project. Off we went! Just to think that two weeks ago, it was a blank page!
What is it you ask? Subrosan It is wickedly interesting tale written by my Creative Genius husband, Dwayne Coots, and will be brought to life by numerous talented actors we have been blessed to encounter.
(Subrosan was conceived and written by Dwayne Coots. It is being produced by the Subrosan Entertainment Group. A collective of actors and creative professionals.)
