PostHeaderIcon Subrosan Creator Answers Questions

I was able to get Dwayne Coots (Writer/Director/ Husband) to sit in front of the camera and answer a few questions about the development of Subrosan. I think the answers are very interesting and may give some insight into the story.  Stay tuned… More to come!

PostHeaderIcon World Day Of Prayer for Peace- Sept. 11th

God of peace,
bring your peace to our violent world:
peace in the hearts of all men and women
and peace among the nations of the earth.

Turn to your way of love those whose hearts and minds
are consumed with hatred.

God of understanding,
overwhelmed by the magnitude of this tragedy,
we seek your light and guidance
as we confront such terrible events.

Grant that those whose lives were spared
may live so that the lives lost
may not have been lost in vain.

Comfort and console us, strengthen  us in hope,
and give us the wisdom and courage
to work tirelessly for a world
where true peace and love reign
among nations and in the hearts of all.

PostHeaderIcon Shooting Episode One: Subrosan

The last few weeks of filming have been exciting, crazy, and just plain fun.  We have a great cast of actors that are easy to work with, and enjoyable to be around. We have made great memories and stories, and not just with the camera, but behind it as well. Ghost stories, drunks, and the neighborhood watch. lol  It’s definitely been a great experience!

We have filmed in locations from Lake Arthur, Baton Rouge, and New Orleans with more upcoming shoots in Lafayette and New Orleans.  Louisiana is a beautiful state  filled with many generous and caring people!! I’ve always heard this, but now from this experience I have found it to be true! I am still overwhelmed and humbled by the amount of people so willing to help and be involved. Our sincerest  gratitude to all of the actors, crew, background, and location owners for helping us make Subrosan a reality!

Special Thanks to Sugar Chic Cake Company and Rita’s Tequila House.

Stay tuned… more to come!

PostHeaderIcon Location, Location, Location!

The last few weeks we have been so busy that I rarely know what day it is. One of the many things on our TO DO LIST for Subrosan is finding locations to shoot the scenes. Scouting locations is right up my alley.  Finding the right locations to bring the story to life is critical and I’m all about finding the right look and feel. It’s like a scavenger hunt and the script IS the list!!

I’m proud to say that we have most of the locations for Episode One of Subrosan secure, and we’re looking ahead to future episodes and scouting the ominous Retreat!! For more pictures of our location selections check out our fan page on Facebbook: http://facebook.com/subrosan

Stay tuned. There’s more to come! :0)

PostHeaderIcon Something New and Exciting

For those of you who know me, I usually have some kind of project I’m working on and more often than not, my husband and I are working together. We have definitely been blessed in that regard. We have worked together, and helped each other for almost 20 years now.

He came home one day and told me that some of his acting friends wanted to work together on a project. Off we went!  Just to think that two weeks ago, it was a blank page!

What is it you ask?  Subrosan  It is wickedly interesting tale written by my Creative Genius husband, Dwayne Coots, and will be brought to life by numerous talented actors we have been blessed to encounter.

(Subrosan was conceived and written by Dwayne Coots. It is being produced by the Subrosan Entertainment Group. A collective of actors and creative professionals.)

PostHeaderIcon Everything Under the Sun and Moon!

When, I said that I’m into EVERYTHING under the Sun and Moon, I really wasn’t joking…Since last year, I’ve added a few other things to my list, and now on to something new (or maybe back to something I love.) lol
One thing I have noticed about myself, is that I love to CREATE! A painting, a cake, a story, an atmosphere…a memory! At least for me, to Create is to Live!

PostHeaderIcon Prayer of St. Gertrude the Great

“Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of  Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the Universal church, for those in my own home and within my family. Amen”

St. Gertrude was a Benedictine Nun and was very devoted to the suffering Souls in Purgatory. Her feast day is Nov. 16th

12 oz cream cheese
1 can tomato soup
3/4 c chopped green onions
1 envelope unflavored gelatin(dissolved in 1/4 c hot water)
1 c mayo
1lb (or more) boiled shrimp
Bring soup to a boil. Add cream cheese. Simmer and stir until cheese is melted. Add gelatin and water mixture. Mix well. Cool for at least 15 minutes. Stir in shrimp, mayo and onions. OPTIONAL: Add a dash of Tabasco, if you want more spice.(DO NOT USE A MIXER. It will make the texture spongy instead of creamy.) Pour into sprayed mold. Refrigerate for 3 to 4 hours.
